Below you will find samples of both recent work and website case stories. If you would like to see more than just screenshots, links have been provided to the live site (when available). Also, I have included a legend over to the left that will coincide with the tools and technologies involved in each case story.

client: verizon wireless | project type: internal sales promotion
Verizon Wireless wanted a way to internally promote the new smartphone lineup to their employees in a fun and creative way. The solution was the Smartphones for Smart People program. The website serves as the hub for this campaign that is supported with email blasts, videos and flyers. Employees can register for workshops on the website and get information about local demo events. Also, each week a new smartphone is introduced on the site homepage. After reading about the new smartphone, the employee can then take a quiz on the site about what they just learned. If they are able to answer all of the quiz questions correctly, then they get an opportunity to win a smartphone or other prizes. The site also features an application library, news archive and prize claim form. Since the premise of the program is education, the design reflects a light-hearted approach by taking adults "back to school". There are chalkboard graphics and hand-drawn elements throughout the site. Each page has a sidebar that gives the visitors the option to go straight to the workshop registration, gives them information about upcoming events and they can also see who the lucky winners were from the previous week.

client: The Alabama Coalition Against Domestic Violence | project type: event website
The Alabama Coalition Against Domestic Violence was gearing up for a series of free seminars to help educate employeers about the effects of domestic violence on a company. They wanted to provide a central location for information about the event, such as a seminar agenda and directions to the events. They also needed a quick and easy way to register for those who recieved the direct mail invitation. This event website was built with all of those factors in mind. In order to keep things simple, all of the information that the attendees need is on a single page. You can download details, get directions and register for the event all in one place. Once a person fills out the registration form, they are redirected to a confirmation page and also given the opportunity to download information on that page as well. The website is based on a tableless layout build with XTML and CSS. The form is a combination of Adobe Flash and PHP to create an attractive and useful form. The form has validation features to prevent spam and make sure that the ACADV gets the information it needs to register each attendee.

client: The Mattie C. Stewart Foundation | project type: company website | view it live
The Mattie C. Stewart Foundation was created to help educators, community leaders and other interested groups reduce the dropout rate and increase the graduation rate through the creation of relevant and effective tools and resources. To that end, The Foundation needed a website that would effectively communicate the urgency of the message, and showcase all of the positive things that have been happening as a result of the development of it’s flagship tools, the INSIDEOUT documentary and The Choice Bus. The Foundation’s website combines a mix of new and old web technologies. The site needed to be as backwards compatible as possible because a large portion of the target audience would be accessing the site from school computers. The decision was made to go with a table-based layout for this reason. There are several flash elements, and extensive use of video to showcase news stories. The Choice Bus tour schedule features an XML-based schedule that allows for easy updating without the need for coding knowledge. The site also features links to flickr where students who have the opportunity to visit The Choice Bus and other Foundation events can view their photos online.
